hubby and i have lived in Durham for two years, six months, and twenty something days. in that time, i've come to the embarrassing realization that it took us forever (literally, like a solid year), to properly explore our new city. when Drew and i make another big move, i promise that i'll jot down how-to-tackle-a-new-city-in-ten-easy-steps -- and faithfully follow my own advice.
when i asked Shannon where she'd like to have their family shoot, i was surprised + excited by her choice of downtown Durham -- not a usual pick for families. while the downtown area is on a definite upward swing, it's not (yet) the manicured, colorful town you'd see in a visitors' guide. i love an adventurous couple!
Greyson was the most handsome little man! dressed in bright orange sandals and a navy romper, he graced the camera with a myriad of adorable expressions.
the four of us explored downtown together, stopping wherever the light was at its best or when a beautifully exposed brick wall begged to be used as a backdrop.
Shannon, Steven, & Greyson, thank you for an excellent Saturday morning. ;)
