the afternoon i met up with chesnee and randy, the gray clouds had moved in. but that was it. and for reals, an overcast sky is a photographer's wish. no overhead sun beating down on heads, no glare, no watery eyes. but ten minutes into our shoot, the rain came down. and it just kept coming for the next hour.
in a normal situation, i'd re-schedule, no problem. but we had convened in asheville for the holidays, me from durham, chesnee and randy from texas. so we worked with it.
chesnee and randy were so cool--they completely went with the flow. can you tell?
i'm going ahead and calling this chesnee's model expression. gorgeous, lady! the rain hit us while we were in this vibrant alleyway off lexington avenue, so we took cover inside the Grove Arcade, followed by the very crowded (and very awesome) book exchange & champagne bar.
if i were getting a pair of cowboy boots, i'd want the exact pair chesnee has on. they're awesome.
it all worked out perfectly, with the adorable couple trumping the crappy weather. you'd never guess it, but chesnee is three months pregnant with their first little kiddo. baby levi is due in June and i can't wait to meet him. congrats, you two!
